Prior to co-founding FLUX, Genji worked as a consultant at Bain & Company where he led development of strategic initiatives for a US-based telecommunications service provider and due diligence for private equity funds and Japanese trading companies.
Genji has a B.S. in Law from Keio University. -
Chief Business Development Officer Shinnosuke Hirata
Prior to co-founding FLUX, Shinnosuke led web media monetization strategy for Kakakucom, working on leading Japanese media sites such as Tabelog, Kakaku.com, and Web CG, which have as many as 3 billion monthly combined page views. He has also served as an advisor to multiple external media platforms and has presented at multiple ad-tech conferences.
Shinnosuke has a B.S. in Chemistry from Rikkyo University. -
Chief Technology Officer Edwin Li
Prior to joining FLUX, Edwin co-founded an Ed-tech startup focused on offline course design and research. He has expertise in algorithms, machine learning, deep learning, and
Chinese/English translation. Edwin studied computer science at the University of Cambridge and the Tokyo Institute of Technology.

Board Member, External Advisor Akira Kurabayashi
Akira is a Managing Partner at DNX Ventures, one of Japan's leading venture capital firms. Prior to joining DNX Ventures, he was Japan Head at Salesforce Ventures and Globespan Capital Partners. Prior to Globespan, he was Co-Founder & Director of Mitsui Technology Investment Group in Silicon Valley. Previously, Akira spent 5 years at Fujitsu Limited.
Akira has an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.A. and Ph.D. in Technology Management from Doshisha University. -
Board Member, External Advisor Shumpei Fukui
Shumpei is a Managing Partner at Archetype Ventures, having raised and operated funding to invest in over 40 B2B tech companies. Prior to joining Archetype, Shumpei founded and
operated a company. Prior to his entrepreneurial activities, Shumpei worked at NTT Data doing B2B sales.
Shumpei holds a degree in Entrepreneurship from Graziadio Business School at Pepperdine University.

Board Member, External Advisor Jiro Tamura
Professor of law at Keio University and a lawyer. Jiro specializes in economic law, international economic law, and negotiation studies. He is currently an International Academic Advisor to the International Negotiation Studies Program at Harvard University and a Special Advisor to White & Case LLP.He has a B.A. in Law from Keio University and M.A. from Harvard Law School.Withdrawal with Completion of Course Requirements from the Doctoral Program of Keio University Graduate School of Law.

Audit & Supervisory Board Member Ryosuke Kaneko
Ryosuke is an experienced auditing professional. He helped clients prepare for IPO at EY Japan, then joined a Japanese private equity fund where he managed growth for portfolio companies. He joined FLUX in October 2021.
Ryosuke has a M.S. in Economics from Tohoku University.

Chief Operating Officer Gentaro Fuse
Gen developed a background in operations at Mitsubishi Corporation, one of Japan’s largest trading companies. At Mitsubishi, Gen was responsible for procurement and supply chain for Japan’s largest clothing company. He left Mitsubishi to start an online business in the fashion industry, after which he joined FLUX as COO.
Gen has a B.S. in Political Science from Keio University. -
SVP of Engineering Koh Nakagawa
Ko was on the founding team of a mental health care startup, then worked at a series of startups as a freelance engineer. After working as a front-end engineer at an insurance
startup, Ko joined FLUX as VP of Engineering in August 2020. -
SVP of Administration Ryuji Miura
Ryuji is an experienced accounting executive, starting his career with Azusa Auditing Co. where he worked in auditing, accounting, and advisory. He then joined Kepple Group, eventually becoming President of both Kepple Consulting and Kepple Accounting. He joined FLUX in April 2021 after Kepple was acquired by Hongo Tsuji Tax Advisors.
Ryuji has a M.S. in Accounting from Waseda University. -
VP of Technology Shoyu Ro
Shoyu has a wide array of engineering experience as a Sales Engineer, Product Manager, and Engineering Manager across several start-ups.
After joining FLUX as Lead Engineer for siteflow, he was promoted to VP of Technology in May 2022. -
VP of Marketing Shohei Hijikata
Shohei started his career at a digital marketing agency before establishing his own marketing consultancy in 2018. His clients included Toyota Automotive Motors and Suntory,
one of Japan's largest beverage companies. Shohei's consultancy was contracted to work with FLUX in March 2021, and Shohei joined FLUX full-time in May 2022 as VP of
Marketing. -
VP of Data Takahiro Nishimura
After conducting data analysis and R & D at Recruit, Takahiro was involved in setting up a data analysis organization and streamlining personnel systems at Recruit Holdings. After that, he worked at Fast Retailing to strengthen the organization of global IT organizations. Joined FLUX in December 2022.
He co-authored and published two books: A Reader’s Guide for Training Data Scientists (Geijutsu Hyoronsha) and Human Resource Development for Top Companies (Sakurasha). -
Executive Officer Yoshiki Sakai
Yoshiki has experience in finance support at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, starting his own business, and developing marketing strategies at Dentsu Inc. After starting a new business development consulting team at a domestic consulting firm, he joined FLUX and was in charge of new business promotion. He assumed his current position as Executive Officer in August 2023.

VP of Publisher Ryoya Yanagida
Ryoya worked in the media business at Asahi Shimbun, mainly in the digital advertising and ad tech areas. He joined FLUX in April 2020 and was appointed as VP of Publisher in August 2023 after serving as the head of the department in charge of services for publishers.
Graduated from Kyoto University, Faculty of Engineering. -
VP of Sales Yusuke Iwata
Yusuke joined CyberAgent, Inc. as a new graduate in 2005. After working in the media department of the company's media sales and advertising agency business, he was transferred to MicroAd where he participated in the launch of the banner network and SSP business. In 2015, he joined CRITEO Inc. and engaged in media recruiting. After serving as an executive at several startup companies, he joined FLUX in June 2021 and has been in his current position since August 2023.
